Title Mesa Verde excavations, Cliff Palace? Call Number N-84 Summary Shows the ruins of Cliff Palace at Mesa Verde National Park, including the Round Tower. A massive, rock overhang above the cliff dwelling was excavated by archaeologist Jesse Fewkes in 1909. Several kivas lie close to the edge of the dwelling. Snow covers the trees and ground on the steep hillside below the palace. Date [between 1921 and 1931?] Photographer Nusbaum, Jesse L. (Jesse Logan).
